Dr. Sasson – Honorary Police Surgeon
- Posted on: Apr 19 2018
As a surgeon, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to use my skills and devote time to humanitarian causes.
I have had the opportunity to treat many Police Officers and Firefighters for their serious and usually work related injuries with excellent outcomes. Many times, I have provided care to them and/or their families, free-of- charge, due to their financial hardship. These officers have been treated by me for many serious wounds including severe facial fractures, lacerations and other hand fractures and injuries which required extensive reconstructive and restorative surgeries.
I am a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and affiliated with most major hospitals in the Greater New York Area. My greatest strengths include a strong desire to help those injured and in need of excellence in the medical field, regardless of their ability to pay. Having the desire to provide this for the Police Officers of New York City, I reached out to our community and was honored to be selected to be an Honorary Police Surgeon for Honorary Police Surgeon for the New York City Police Department.
Not only do I care for patients who are in need of reconstructive surgeries but also those who are looking to improve their appearance. After meeting the families of our dedicated Police Officers and Fire Fighters, I have been requested to perform aesthetic surgeries on them as well. My main focus is to improve my patients’ quality of life.
