Reconstructive Surgery / Trauma

I write to tell you about the excellent care I received the evening of Monday, November 17, 2014… I want in particular to tell you about my good fortune in having had Dr. H. Sasson to attend to my right ear and scalp. My ear was so badly mangled that a plastic surgeon was required, and my scalp had several deep lacerations. Dr. Sasson is what a doctor should be, i.e., he is extraordinarily competent and skilled, but he is also compassionate, calming, and reassuring. He clearly understands that medicine, as noble a science as it is in its own right, is also a human art. As a result of his care, my ear today is well on its way to a complete restoration and my scalp is all but healed already. What was obvious to me on my visit a week later to Dr. Sasson’s office was that his humanistic approach to the practice of medicine extends to his office staff and to his medical assistants. The person who received me was patient and helpful with all my questions about the several pages of forms that I had to complete. The entire experience was all that one could have hoped for. Again, all the care that I received that evening was top-notch. Dr. Sasson stands out even among the several excellent doctors, nurses, and others who cared for me.
